- 4 Universes / 2048 Channels (4×512): Supports up to 4 Art-Net universes (2048 channels total) for higher channel-count and multi-line DMX lighting systems.
- 4-Port Art-Net to DMX Output Node: Converts Art-Net over Ethernet to DMX512 output for fixtures, splitters, and dimmers—ideal for stable wired show control.
- DMX Input to Art-Net (Mode Selectable): Supports DMX512 input and sends it over Art-Net for flexible integration with consoles and Ethernet-based lighting networks.
- Record & Standalone Playback (No PC/Console Needed): Record lighting data to microSD and play back shows directly from the unit for standalone operation and on-site backup.
- Playback Control via DMX (2-Channel Personality): Control playback externally—CH1 selects the recorded show (1–255) and CH2 provides master dimming (1–255).
- RDM-Ready DMX Output for Compatible Fixtures: Enables RDM traffic on the DMX line for fixture discovery and addressing when required. For maximum compatibility and stability, use DMX OUT when RDM is not needed.
- RJ45 Ethernet Networking + Easy Setup: Standard Ethernet connection for direct PC link or router/switch networks, with DHCP or manual IP settings for straightforward deployment.
Product Description
The Pknight Art-Net DMX Recorder is a professional lighting control solution designed for DMX and Art-Net systems. It supports 4 Art-Net universes (2048 DMX channels), providing expanded capacity for complex, multi-line lighting installations beyond standard 1024-channel systems. With four independent DMX outputs, the unit functions as an Art-Net to DMX node, converting Ethernet-based Art-Net data into DMX512 signals for fixtures, splitters, and dimmers. A selectable DMX IN mode allows DMX512 input to be transmitted over Art-Net, enabling integration between traditional lighting consoles and network-based control systems. The device combines recording and standalone playback in one compact unit. Lighting data can be recorded to a microSD card via Art-Net and played back directly from the device without a PC or lighting console. Playback can also be controlled externally using a 2-channel DMX personality, with Channel 1 selecting recorded shows (1–255) and Channel 2 providing master dimming. For compatible fixtures, the DMX outputs support RDM communication for fixture discovery and DMX address configuration. When RDM is not required, standard DMX OUT mode ensures maximum compatibility and stability. Featuring RJ45 Ethernet connectivity, the recorder supports direct PC connections or router-based networks, with DHCP or manual IP configuration for easy deployment in fixed or temporary Art-Net installations.
